WINTER RECREATION


Cross Country Skiing - Soda Springs offers great Cross Country Ski Area in Kelly Park. The famous Highline Recreation Trail offers 55 miles of groomed snowmobile trails. The natural surroundings of the area also provide a great opportunity to enjoy nature as you cut a trail of your own.


Snowmobiling - Enjoy Snowmobiling on groomed trails, without the crowds. Trail Canyon, Diamond Creek, and Wood Canyon are among the many areas popular with outdoor recreationalists throughout the winter. 


Ice Fishing - Ample populations of cutthroat trout, yellow perch, and rainbow trout as well as crappie, small, and largemouth bass are found at the Alexander Reservoir and Blackfoot Reservoir just outside of Soda Springs.

Wagon ruts on the Oregon Trail run through the golf courseWARM WEATHER RECREATION


Golf - Play right through the ruts left by the wagons on the Oregon Trail. Walk in the footsteps of the pioneers while looking out over the beautiful valley and Alexander Reservoir. The nine hole, 36 par golf course at the Oregon Trail Country Club is open to the public. Golf equipment is available for rent if you forget to bring your clubs.

 

Kelly Park - Kelly Park is a pleasant park on the east side of Soda Springs. It features baseball diamonds, tennis courts, picnic facilities with a covered pavilion, 2 small fishing ponds for kids, playground and three miles of walk­ing/jogging paths, which are also used for winter cross country skiing. Kelly Park also serves as the venue for the annual Caribou County Mud Bogs and July 4th Fireworks.
